MATT HANEY IS UNDER INVESTIGATION BY SF ETHICS COMMISSION.

On May 03, 2022, Tenant Rights Association PAC filed a complaint against then-Supervisor Matt Haney with the San Francisco Ethics Commission, located on 25 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco, California. The complaint cites that then-Supervisor Matt Haney violated the city's Campaign Code Section 1.127 which bars any sitting elected official from soliciting or accepting a contribution from anyone who has a contract or development pending with the city if that individual could have a role in approving that contract.

During the month of December 2021, developers Simon Snellgrove and Jon Mayeda made fraudulent contributions of $4,900 respectively to then-Supervisor Matt Haney designated to the Matt Haney for the State Assembly D-17 campaign. There is no doubt that their financial contributions to Matt Haney for Assembly campaign are an illegal act to influence political favor.

The complaint is about blatant wrongdoing by then-Supervisor Matt Haney, failure to uphold his oath of office, and represents an abuse of power. Read the complaint open PDF.
